Like this and like that and uh

[Another long weekend with another out of town guest. Sonoma, parents, wine, the City, dinner at the apt with Sean, Gabriella and the roommates. I'm exhausted, but I've discovered that chicken soup with dumplings (cilantro dumplings, no less!) from scratch is easy, even with a half dozen smokers and drinkers taking up my workspace gabbing and ashing.]

[As always, Camper is hilarious. Consider the rant I've been saving up about overused gay symbols to be written. On the other hand, my response to David's ongoing rails against any sort of gay sensibility or culture is still formulating. I've been busy!]

[One result of an otherwise routine trip to Sonoma was to make pretty official my intention to go to law school. Maw and Paw Sharp were behind it 100%. I haven't heard the words "good for you" issue from Paw's mouth in quite a while. I know it shouldn't matter.]

[And, finally, a long phone call from Jessica yesterday afternoon. She was my best friend thruout college, and...well, go here for an idea of where I left our friendship when I moved away from Santa Barbara. She's gone thru amazing hell with her husband Jeff, and they are no longer married. I can't wait for her visit in a couple of weeks.]
