Wits, Scared Out Of

[John and I were scared out of our wits last night by the new film Joy Ride. I remember slightly the anonymous excitement that CB radio aficionadios had in the late 70's, but I'll never think of "handles," truck stops and seedy motels the same way again. The whole Smokey and the Bandit, Every Which Way But Loose, BJ and the Bear aesthetic was based on that scruffily romantic lifestyle. Sonoma may seem Wine Country-glamorous now, but the atmosphere I grew up in was much more Honeysuckle Rose than Falcon Crest.]

[Speaking of BJ, IE Cannot Find Server for www.evigan.com., even though there was a link to such a site when searched. (Yes, I should be doing my homework) Can Greg Evigan (after whom my sister was allowed to lust publicly in the early 80's, while I remained silent) have disappered from the Web before I've had a chance to see what he's up to today? No one speaks of My Two Dads anymore, and that truly saddens me.]
