Get This Party Started On A Thursday Night

[So Kate and Frank got to hear the famous tale of Grandma, the ant, and the sidecar last night; Aaron and John had already heard it. "Oh, that old wheeze...I don't know if I really should..." but they insisted.]

[And nobody thought my Rainy Days and Thursdays comment with regard to Kate's profession was the least bit funny. I always surprise myself at which jokes other people think hilaaaarious and which fall flat; my sense of humor always has one hand tied behind its back.]

[Anyway, it was good to have a mini-blogmeet, even though the DJ didn't have to turn the music up QUITE that loud. You were right, Aaron: I just needed to drink this cold right under the table.]

['Twas also good to remember that, just over ten years ago, the Cafe (then called Cafe San Marcos, and primarily a lesbian joint) was my first foray into a real-life San Francisco gay bar. (Yes, Casey, I still have the pictures.) New Year's, Jessica almost tumbling over the balcony ("For God's sake, save the drink!"), afterwards to a room at the Palace and then Colossus and my first run-in with Lars since we'd graduated high school.]
