Et effing cetera

[Insanely busy weekend bleeding into the week 'round here. John's birthday party at the chichi downtown penthouse was crazy and fun. John H. and his new beau were the out-of-state guests, with everyone else streaming in from all over the Bay.]

[Jessica and Caleb just missed the party, coming up from Santa Barbara yesterday to stay at Sean's flat in the Inner Sunset. It's not enough that he has a gorgeous apartment (lavish wood inlay and fireplace in the DINING ROOM, roof deck with hammock, hardwood floors, a sitting room and a TV room, et effing cetera) which he shares with just one other roommate; it's not just that it's a block from Golden Gate Park, and right on the N Judah line; it's that he has a spare room! Who has a spare room these days in San Francisco? Sean, that's who.]

[Anyway, I had dinner with J. and C. at Park Chow (they were reeeeally hungry after the drive, and I couldn't think of anything faster or more original), then back home to care for my birthday-worn baby. School today, more visiting with J. and C., and the final stages of Mom's birthday this Saturday. All this with a full week of law school floating about here somewhere. Whew!]
