He's Such A Monet

[A free moment before meeting my sister at Costco to shop for birthday victuals for Mom's big event tomorrow. My grandmother and my parents other sex- and septuagenarian friends are putting together all sorts of games, linked somehow to my mother's life story. Could be fun, could be really lame. Oh well, John and I made a cool CD to play in the background, and at least Sean and Leah are coming up, so we can all laugh if the thing's a bust.]

[Jessica and Caleb left yesterday, after lunch at everbody's fave local Thai joint, and a walk by the ocean and the ruins of the Sutro Baths. I've finally been to the Musee Mecanique; another "quirky San Francisco" tourist attraction to cross off my list (I didn't know I was keeping a list...)]

[Celebrated the new roommate Bart's birthday his way yesterday, dancing 'til the wee hours at 1015 Folsom and the End-Up. Bart is so gay, except for the homosexual part. The End-Up on Thursdays is probably 60/40 straight-gay, and the women were in serious clothes, hair and makeup, while most of the guys were in scrungy rave couture. Made me think of Clueless, with the difference between the girls and the boys. Do we ever really graduate from high school?]
