Stoli Not Common Cold Cure - Researchers Stumped

[Three things took dumps in the potential punchbowl that was my weekend plans:]

[An old friend of John's and his friend trundled up to the front desk of the Cute Victorian Hotel Around the Corner yesterday morning, and checked in. John had warned me like a week ago that they were coming up from San Diego, but we both forgot.]

[Then, I began to feel a cold coming on, the first since last winter. I came home after work, collapsed into bed, and was bitchy to John.]

[I felt well enough to join the boys for a few strictly medicinal cocktails last night, and didn't read the quantity warnings on the strictly medicinal vodka labels.]

[Shockingly, when I woke up this morning, my cold not only hadn't been cured by what I had thought were last night's prudent measures, I had a hangover to deal with (exactly what I said I didn't want; you heard me, right?) on top of the cold.]

[So I spent the day in bed, and not in a good way. Which is where I'm returning now. Grrr.]
