Huntington An Introduction Recently Read them instead: Political Compass: |
January 11, 2003 - 4:14 PM These Hours [With hours cut and school not yet back in session, what's a diarist at leisure to do to fill the hours?] [See The Hours right after finishing the book. Amazing! Others have commented more aptly than I, so just go see it.] [Finally make substantial progress on the law journal article. I'll have some time next week to fill in the gaps which require attribution (most of the thing being my own ill-informed opinions), and it'll be ready to send to the submissions committee. Oh, I'm on the committee? Pardon me while I recuse myself..] [Begin again with the writer's studio. This time, I'm starting my novel. Scandal, intoxication, and piano in my fictionalized version of the Friendly Neighborhood Cabaret.] [Weeks late, get most of the way thru Chief John and Huntington's What We Were Listening To In 2002 mix CD. So far, an unsurprising number of selections with some connection to the 80s, and a surprising amount of what we sheepishly call showtunes, not our usual idiom. Sure, they're from Taboo and the Buffy musical episode, but still. (With apologies to Bill.)] [Get caught up on the previous season of 24. John and I are consuming 2-3 episodes a night, totally addicted.] [Register Thursday at the school's main campus in the Mission, following margaritas and bonhomie with Sean (nothing like tequila to make a financial aid queue slide by), and preceding a late-night trip to Ikea with John and Sean. I swear, we only went to Emeryville to browse area rugs. While one was found (and bought), where did the rest of the $200+ go?] [Follow Grandma Duck's slow passage. For once, I can say with certainty that I know how someone else feels. Read Aaron's saga, if you do nothing else this overcast weekend.] | |
