[My new favorite game (which I've been hearing about for awhile) is Cranium, played with much jollity and brilliance last night at a small gathering in unofficial celebration of the laying-off of one of my coworkers at the Cute Victorian Hotel Around The Corner. Can I draw a belly dancer? Of course. Can I sculpt a golf course out of purple clay? You betcha! Can my supervisor and I hum a fantastic duet of RESPECT by Aretha Franklin without either of our teams guessing the tune? Unfortunately, yes.]

[Off to read late law journal submissions about court decisions revolving around giving corporations the same rights as individuals. Yawn, although my dad sent me an oddly synchronistic article yesterday about how Republican Sen. Chuck Hagel of Nebraska has a major interest in the voting machines used to tabulate his own election victory. The article made lengthy mention of the 19th century Supreme Court case inventing the corporate "person." Dad, who, as a Vietnam-era sailor, used to get in big fights with my mother about the war, is now a late-blooming radical; thanks, George W. Bush!]
