This Is Because I Never Go To Bay Area Blogger Events, Right?

[Dammit, will wunna you bitches tell me when someone on my "...but not forgotten" list starts writing again? It happened with Dean, it happened with the Blogstalker, and now I find out that Tin Man's been back for over a month. Now I gotta go back and read archives, when I'm supposed to be doing homework. I hope you're all happy.]

[Of course I'm a couple of days late commenting on the Oscars. If you must watch them (and I must), a great place to do it is the Parkway Theater in Oakland. My sister, her husband, John, and I were originally supposed to go, but both of the spouses flaked at the last minute, so I dragged Terry, and Kate dragged Ananda, so we were still four. And, yes, Michael Moore got the biggest applause of the night with his speech. This is Oakland, after all.]

[Sad news: I know two people with that new antibiotic-resistant staph infection. Combine that with the auto accident which befell my supervisor and his girlfriend, and the management of the Cute Victorian Hotel Around the Corner isn't looking so cute right now.]

[Glad news: The parents are safe, sound and warm on the Portuguese coast. They have a bidet! I want a bidet!!]
