[A quote from U.K. Foreign Secretary Jack Straw (from the BBC, and quoted in an Associated Press story):] ["Decisions have consequences and some of the approaches which were taken by some of our continental colleagues were simply inexplicable to most people in the U.S."] [Setting aside the sad fact that most Americans think "Continental" means a Lincoln automobile, did you really say "most people in the U.S.," Mr. Straw? Did you misspeak, or have England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland taken one more step to applying to be the 51st thru 54th states?
