February 7, 2004 - 8:44 AM My Newest Procrastination Technique [One of my favorite parts of performing this ritual called my online diary is making titles for the entries. I've always thought I was on the good side of clever in thinking them up. But a spin thru my archives reveals that I’ve entitled an awful lot of my entries with song lyrics. Yes, I have better things to do on a Saturday morning, but here is a list of every artist from whose work (either a song lyric or an album title) I’ve borrowed for a diary entry title. Any artists who have made more than one appearance are noted as having done so. The list doesn't include commercial jingles, but does include TV show theme songs. Besides cementing my music-taste-froze-in-1990 reputation, I’m sure a psychologist would have a field day with the list.] [Soft Cell, Gloria Loring & Al Jarreau, Blondie, Bananarama, R.E.M., Al Jolson, Bob Dylan, Sex Pistols, Crowded House, R.E.M.
