Makes Perfect

[I'm practicing. I'm practicing for an event whose date remains subject to opportunity. I'm practicing using skills not facially relevant to the event's requirements. The skills I'm using in practice are often more about arm's-length and control; the event is (its producers fervently hope) about wild closeness and lack of control.]

[Contradictory? I think when the producers can get it together to make the event take place, the imagination necessary for practice will translate into that much more of a successful production. Plus, practice passes the time and is its own reward.]
