We are saddened to tell you Lila was eaten by something (raccoon?) I found her carcass yesterday. We feel she was a part of our family. Dad says he saw her Sat. and got new food. I kept asking about her because I hadn't seen her. He said she was sitting on her eggs. I got suspicious and damn!. I wish this was April fool or something, anyway there you have it, our sad news.

I was so sorry to hear about Lila. She was a noble example of her kind, and I enjoyed taking care of her last summer. I'm also sad to hear that her going was so gruesome. That must not have been easy to deal with.
