We Don't Need Another Hero

[So, Max sent me an obituary from the Toronto Star this morning.]

[This woman, June Jacobs, of whom I'd never heard, did so many things and expressed so many thoughts that I find wholly admirable. She had little to no formal education, and turned down something like 30 honorary degrees after she'd made her mark. But she was an author, an activist, and made sophisticated arguments that were ahead of their time. Just goes to show: you don't need a piece of paper to do great things in this world. You just need the ambition God gave a dung beetle.]
