[One hour ago I was working, wondering why the guy who runs the convenience store next door (and who has the same name as the next-to-last Khedive of Egypt, the man responsible for the British takeover from the Ottoman Empire) always closes when I really want some Junior Mints.]

[24 hours ago I was packing up empty boxes to take home in Boss-Man's car. I'm moving.]

[One week ago I don't remember anything specific, except I was stressing about landlord issues.]

[One month ago, I was in Guerneville having a really great time.]

[One year ago I was unemployed, single (but wondering when that Chris guy was gonna call me; it was obvious from his blog that he and the Pumpkin-Head weren't meant for each other), and waiting for my sister to have the damned baby, already.]

[Five years ago I'd just started law school, and I was doing well in all my classes except Contracts.]

[Ten years ago I was sleeping on Rafe and Antonio's futon in the lower Haight, casting about desperately for a job and a place to live, but so happy finally to have moved to San Francisco. (More specifically, today marks ten years since my first Martuni's-inspired hangover. Some traditions never fade...)]

[15 years ago I was living at the glorious Pacific Oaks Apartments in even more glorious Goleta, California. Sean had just moved in - the start of a beautiful friendship. I'd dropped out of school and just begun a part-time job at a public health agency where I was to stay (fairly happily) for five years.]
