June 03, 2007 - 10:07 PM Tired, Distracted, Sentimental, Sappy! [Briefly, just so someone (me?) doesn't think I don't do anything since I don't blog about anything, I went last night with Allen, his boss (who I think we'll Boss-Lady-With-Cats, or BLWC) , and NotRockLobster to a modern dance/multimedia thing at Yerba Buena Center For The Arts. I haven't seen a show there since the night Belinda Carlisle kicked John and security dragged him away, back when there were companies like ZDTV renting bands like the Go-Go's for corporate events and there were people in the hospitality industry like John with the talent, motivation, and office supplies to forge passes for five of his friends. YBCA is very "Wasn't Tomorrow Wonderful" circa 1999; the dance thing was cool but I was tired and distracted (NotRockLobster was worse, but BLWC wanted to party all night long), but it did put me into a creative frame of mind for about five minutes; and don't eat Thai food at Cha-Am at 3rd and Folsom - substandard and overpriced, just 'cause it's Moscone Center-adjacent. I've never been a conventioneer, and that doesn't sadden me one bit.] [I think that's it. No, wait. Depsite drinks, etc. with Chris on Friday, and that thing last night, I spent most of the weekend alone, in my room. Mostly it was OK. Also? That movie Rumor Has It wasn't that bad, but I may be saying that because I'm a sentimental sap. Everyone says so, and if they don't say it, I know they're thinking it. Anyway, Mom dumped her copy of the DVD on me, and I just watched it. I wanted more Shirley MacLaine and less Kevin Costner, but then I'm that kind of homo at that kind of age.] [Good night. Have a great week. I'll try, too.] | |
