Slothful Saturday

[Wandered with Allen, Charlotte, and some of their friends in the Dia de los Muertos parade last night in the Mission District. Fun, local/"authentic" seeming (although definitely Mexican-Californian); a good, relatively low-key night out.]

[Today's got to be maintenance day (but it's almost noon!), since tomorrow I'm going up to Sonoma for the day with my sister and the Niece Audrey. I'm told the latter is speaking in complete sentences now. It's only been two months since I saw her; in August, her only comprehensible English was "this ih applesaw," but now she's quoting Shakespeare or something. Hmph - they grow so fast.]

[Later: Had a fun, slightly productive couple of hours with Sean downtown on this gloriously warm November day: blue jeans bought (somehow I'm still hanging on to a 33 waist), glasses repaired (the guy at Site For Sore Eyes said I stripped a screw when I stepped on them; I almost scolded him for flirting), and delicious garlic-steak bento eaten at Juban in Japantown. Now it's almost 5PM, and I think it behooves me to go back outside to enjoy the last warm dusk before Standard Time bludgeons me with its usual doleful hammer.]
