Benadryl drip...stat!

[The good news: the Cat Hedwick has gotten a lot more friendly. We play games like Grab The Foot and Climb Mount Chest. Yes, it's been kinda nice having a warm, soft boy snuggle up to me in bed these cold nights.]

[The bad news: despite having grown up with cats and never having an issue, I seem to be deeply allergic to Hedwick. I had to leave work today because my head is a mass of hazy snot, and I couldn't concentrate. Whole forests of Kleenex have already died while trying to clear my sinuses, and Walgreen's stock of pills has been ravaged to no avail. I just awoke from a thorough four-hour nap here at Maison le Trou (where there is also a cat, but one which never leaves Elisabeth's room and which never has this effect on me), and feel slightly more human.]

[It may just be a cold, but there's this feeling at the back of my throat and suspicious welts on my legs that say I'm allergic to Pussy. Friend of Mom doesn't get back for another week, but I don't think I'm going to spend any more nights at her otherwise lovely, heated apartment. Guggghhh...]
